Clans

List a clan in the public directory

How to be found by relatives abroad, and exactly what becomes visible if you do.

The clan directory is a public page listing associations that have asked to appear on it. It is the way diaspora relatives and researchers find you without knowing anyone inside already.

  • An administrator opens the clan's settings.
  • Turn on listing in the public directory.
  • Write the one line that will appear beside your name.

What becomes visible

Only the clan's name, the line you write and how many members it has. Posts, events, documents and the member list stay inside the workspace and are never shown.

Listing is off for every clan by default, including clans created before the directory existed. Being discoverable to signed-in members has never meant being published on the open web, and was not treated as though it had. Turning it off again removes the listing on the next page load.
